Draft Beer & Wine on Tap
A draft beer and wine on tap system is a precision-engineered chain of components that must work together to deliver product at the correct temperature, pressure, and carbonation level from keg to glass. CTS is Micro Matic certified and factory trained on every component in the draft chain — from the glycol chiller and trunk lines to the draft tower, gas mixing system, keg couplers, and faucets. Whether you’re running 4 taps or 40, we keep every pour consistent.
Understanding draft system engineering helps you identify problems before they affect product quality and waste:
Beer or Wine Not Serving at Proper Temperature
A properly designed draft system maintains serving temperature from the keg to the glass with no variation. Beer should pour between 36 and 38 degrees F. Wine on tap has its own serving temperature requirements depending on varietal. When serving temps drift, the glycol chiller is the first place to look — a failing compressor, low glycol concentration, or insulation breakdown in the trunk line all cause temperature rise between the chiller and the tap.
