SERVICE BRIEFING

Nitro & Cold Brew

Nitro cold brew on draft is a precision nitrogen infusion system that produces the signature cascading pour and creamy texture customers expect. The gas handling, line pressure, and faucet requirements for nitrogen-infused coffee are fundamentally different from CO2-based draft systems. CTS provides certified installation, repair, and maintenance for nitro cold brew systems in coffee shops, restaurants, and multi-unit operations.

Understanding nitrogen coffee system engineering helps you maintain the signature nitro experience:

1

Nitro Cold Brew Not Pouring Correctly

A proper nitro cold brew pour produces a cascading effect and a thick creamy head — the result of nitrogen gas being forced through a restrictor plate at the tap under specific pressure. When that pour goes flat, foamy, or just pours like regular coffee, something in the nitrogen delivery system is wrong. The most common causes are incorrect serving pressure, a clogged or damaged restrictor plate, a nitrogen supply that’s running low, or a regulator that’s drifted from its set point.
